News : Virus Harms Real Estate
Posted by admin on 2008/8/8 11:00:26 (247 reads)

Orange County has temporarily taken down its online database for researching real estate documents after the system was exposed to a computer virus last week.

"While the county recognizes this poses a significant inconvenience to real estate researchers who wish to perform research inquiries over the Internet and off-hours, the county's commitment to data security remains its top technology priority," the register of deeds office said in a news release.

Members of the public can research county real estate records at the register of deeds office at 228 S. Churton St., Hillsborough.
